Lawyer Alexander Treshchev filed a lawsuit against singer Alla Pugacheva to recover 1.5 billion rubles in compensation for moral damage. He told Izvestia about this on September 15.

The reason for the appeal to the court was the statements of the actress in an interview, where she positively described the first president of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) Dzhokhar Dudayev, who was liquidated in 1996.

Treshchev explained that Pugacheva called Dudaev a "decent man" and expressed regret that she could not influence the preservation of his life. According to the plaintiff, these statements, as well as criticism of the actions of the Russian authorities in the interview, offended the veterans of military operations.

According to Treshchev, the statement of claim was filed on September 14. The lawyer stated that if the claim is satisfied, he will send the funds received to support veterans, and will keep a symbolic 1 ruble for himself as compensation.

Pugacheva, along with her husband Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), left Russia after the country announced the start of a special operation to protect Donbass on February 24, 2022. On July 30, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation announced that it had found no grounds for recognizing singer Alla Pugacheva as a foreign agent.
