A list of deadwood collection sites was presented in Buryatia

In Buryatia, they have identified places where it is allowed to collect deadwood exclusively for their own needs, without registration of permits and the right to sell. The list of locations is presented in a document published by the Republican Forestry Agency.

Deadwood is considered to be the remains of trees and branches that were formed as a result of windfall, natural death or damage by pests.

Dead wood does not include felling residues in logging areas and dead wood, which is dried up but standing on the roots of trees.

When harvesting dead wood, it is allowed to use a chainsaw or an axe, writes UlanMedia. At the same time, fire safety regulations must be observed.
