Four new trams launched on the streets of Pyatigorsk

Four new trams began running through the streets of Pyatigorsk on Monday, September 15. The transport has passed all inspections, certification and road tests, the head of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, said on his social networks.

"Quiet, smooth in motion, and comfortable for passengers — these trams make trips not only convenient, but also environmentally friendly. This is especially important for the resort city," the governor said, quoted by StavropolMedia news agency.

Each car is equipped with air conditioning, vandal-proof seats, ventilation, phone chargers, GLONASS system and lighting.

According to Vladimirov, the first such tram in Pyatigorsk was launched in 2024. This was done for the first time in many summers due to the peculiarities of the tram tracks - they are narrow—gauge and standard wagons do not fit them.
