The current head of Chuvashia, self-nominated Oleg Nikolaev, took first place in the election of the head of the region, gaining 67.06% of the votes based on the results of counting 100% of the protocols. This was confirmed on September 15 by data from the online scoreboard of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

According to the CEC, LDPR candidate Konstantin Stepanov took second place, gaining 14.23% of the vote, and the candidate of the New People party took third place with 8.37% of the vote.
