The current head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, won the election with 88.09% of the vote. This was confirmed on September 15 by the data of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.

Hafiz Mirgalimov (KPRF) took second place with 4.97% of the vote, Ruslan Yusupov (LDPR) took third place with 4.20% of the vote, and Vitaly Smirnov (Russian Party of Pensioners for Social Justice) took fourth place with 1.90% of the vote.

The single voting day ended in Russia on September 14. On the same day, as part of a briefing at the situation center of the Russian Public Chamber for election observation, Maxim Grigoriev announced his readiness to support the expansion of the use of remote electronic voting (DEG).
