An emergency situation regime was introduced in Angarsk, Irkutsk region, after a gas explosion in an apartment in a multi-storey building. This was announced on September 15 by the head of the Angara district Sergey Petrov.

"An emergency meeting of the emergency commission has been held. An emergency mode has been introduced since 08.00. An inspection of the entrance structures is currently underway," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to Petrov, the incident occurred in an apartment on the second floor of building No. 12. According to preliminary data, there was a person with special needs there.

He also added that two people were injured in the incident. A 40-year-old man was hospitalized with a fractured spine. A 12-year-old girl suffered a concussion and received medical attention.

All residents of the entrance were evacuated. Currently, 22 people, including 12 children, are in temporary accommodation at School No. 4.

On July 25, a gas explosion occurred in a multi-storey building in Saratov. Seven people died because of him, including a child. A regional state of emergency was declared in connection with the incident in the Saratov region. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
