By the end of the 2030s, the first cyborgs may appear. This opinion was shared on September 15 by Gennady Krasnikov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

According to the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, people will have the opportunity to implant additional memory modules, gain infrared vision and improve hearing. In addition, robotics will become so similar to humans and capable of empathy that it will be extremely difficult to distinguish a cyborg from an ordinary person, Krasnikov stressed.

"I think this is the end of the 2030s," he assessed the prospect of such cyborgs for RIA Novosti.

Gennady Krasnikov noted that the creation and development of 5G, 6G networks and their future versions is critically important for this.

"This will make it possible to create supercomputing centers that are necessary for training autonomous robots," said the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Ilya Zimichev, Director of Innovative Project Development at Cycle, said on August 30 that modern production facilities strive to automate most processes to increase efficiency, but a number of professions cannot be replaced by robots. The expert also noted that against the background of automation, new professions are emerging aimed at organizing the operation of automatic machines. For example, we need people who can design and maintain equipment.
