Two people died as a result of a fire in the Zarinsky district of the Altai Territory. This was announced on September 15 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"A fire broke out in a private apartment building in the village of Novomonoskino last night. <...> The fire claimed the lives of two people," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is specified that the fire has an area of 60 square meters. m was localized. 11 firefighters and five pieces of equipment, as well as two members of the gas and smoke protection service, were involved in extinguishing the fire.

According to the security services, the fire was caused by an unopened cigarette. As a result, the roof of the house, the walls, the veranda were also damaged, and the nearby sauna was completely burned down.
