The German national basketball team beat the Turkish team in the final match of the Eurobasket and became the European champion for the first time since 1993. The game took place on September 14 in Riga.

The meeting between Germany and Turkey ended with a score 88:83 (24:22, 16:24, 26:21, 22:16). Turkish basketball player Alperen Shengyun scored the most points during the match (28 points). Isaac Bonga (20) and Dennis Schroeder (16 points, 12 assists) scored a double-double for the winners.
