Denis Pasler, the acting governor of the Sverdlovsk region, is leading in the election of the head of the region, according to the results of counting 50.04% of the protocols from polling stations, he is gaining 62.89% of the votes. This was confirmed by the CEC data on September 14.
The voter turnout as of 18:00 on September 14 in the Sverdlovsk region was 38.42%, and in Yekaterinburg — 31.18%.
Pasler has been acting governor since March of this year, replacing Evgeny Kuyvashev, who has led the region since 2012.
Five candidates participated in the election, including Alexander Ivachev, Deputy Chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly (KPRF), and Andrei Kuznetsov, deputy of the State Duma (Fair Russia — Patriots — For Truth).
