Meteorological autumn will arrive in Central Russia this week

Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Center, said on September 14 that the upcoming weekend was the last warm one in September in Moscow, and this week meteorological autumn will arrive in Central Russia.

According to him, at the beginning of the week the region will remain under the influence of the anticyclone: at night the temperature will be +7...+10 degrees, during the day +19 ...+22 degrees. There will be more clouds on Wednesday, and the first rains will fall in the west of the Moscow region.

On Thursday and Friday, it is expected to reach +15...+19 degrees with short-term rains. The specialist noted that weekdays will be a preparation for the change of season, and truly autumnal weather will set in on the weekend. On Saturday, the cyclone will bring heavy rains, wind and cold snap, on Sunday the temperature will drop to +11...+14 degrees in the afternoon, according to "Moscow 24".

Tishkovets clarified that the astronomical autumn will come on September 22, and the meteorological one was delayed for 16 days, writes RIAMO.

On the same day, the press service of the main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Moscow region reported that the high fire risk (fourth class) in the region remains until September 18.
