The results of the "Heroes of the Chessboard: Moscow" blitz tournament were summed up in Moscow. This was announced on September 14 by the Moscow Seasons press service.

The competition gathered more than a thousand participants at 41 venues in the capital and ended with the final on Patriarch's Ponds on City Day. 41 finalists participated in the deciding game.

Grandmaster Boris Savchenko became the winner, Alexander Usov took the second place, and Andrey Tsvetkov took the third. The prize fund was 1.75 million rubles: the winner received one million, the silver medalist 500 thousand and the bronze medalist 250 thousand.

The organizers noted that the tournament has become not only a sporting event, but also part of the cultural program of the city, bringing together players of different ages and experience. The final attracted a record number of viewers, according to the Moscow City News agency.
