In Ukraine, it was reported about the seizure of the UOC temple in Zhytomyr by supporters of the OCU

Representatives of the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) seized the Intercession Church of the Canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in Zhytomyr. This was reported on September 14 in the information and educational department of the UOC.

Following the call of their representative, the OCU supporters broke down the fence and entered the temple through the hole. Despite the objections of the faithful, including the elderly, women with children, and the military, the temple's locks were torn off and they entered.

It is specified that the parishioners of the Intercession Church are preparing a collective statement to the police.

Experts explained what will happen to the UOC after the official recognition of its connection with the Russian Orthodox Church

On June 17, the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) reported that representatives of the OCU had seized the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit of the canonical UOC in the city of Chernivtsi in the west of the country. According to the organization, a group of 50 people entered the Holy Spirit Cathedral and beat up one of the priests, as well as the deacon. It is specified that the priest received cuts from blows, and the deacon had a broken face.
