Zaur Uguyev became a three-time world champion in freestyle wrestling
Russian freestyle wrestler Zaur Uguev became the world champion in the weight category up to 61 kg on September 14.
On the way to the final, Uguev was stronger than American wrestler Jaxen Forrest (10:3), Assylzhan Yessengeldi from Kazakhstan (13:2) and Armenian representative Manvel Khndzrtsyan (11:0).
Uguev became a three-time world champion. In 2018 and 2019, he won the world championships in the weight class up to 57 kg, adds Sport-Express.
On the eve of the World Wrestling Championships in Croatia, Russian freestyle wrestler Sayin Kazyryk defeated Ukrainian Alexei Boruta. In the qualification fight in the weight category up to 70 kg between Kazyryk and Boruta, the Russian athlete won with a score of 8:2. In the 1/8 finals, Kazyryk faced Hungarian wrestler Ismail Musukaev and was defeated with a score of 2:4.
