Piskarev announced the holding of elections in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation

Vasily Piskarev, deputy of the State Duma, Chairman of the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, said that the elections were held in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation and Russian laws. This was reported on September 14 in the Telegram channel of the State Duma commission investigating outside interference.

"Despite numerous attempts at outside interference, thanks to the coordinated work of all branches of government and the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, today's elections were held strictly in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation and our laws," Piskarev said.

He noted that the West considers the elections to be a convenient opportunity to destroy the internal unity of Russia. Piskarev stressed that Russia would respond to such actions.

In Russia, governors, deputies to legislative assemblies and representatives of municipal authorities will be elected within three days.

Earlier in the day, the head of the CEC of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, said that since the beginning of the elections, approximately 290,000 attacks had been recorded on the portal of the CEC of Russia, and over 300,000 on the remote electronic voting system (DEG).
