Estonia to supply Ukraine with military aid worth more than €100 million in 2026
Estonia will continue to support Ukraine in the amount of more than €100 million, most of which will be used to supply Estonian weapons. This was announced on September 14 on the website of the Estonian Ministry of Defense.
"We proceed from the military needs of Ukraine, and Estonian defense industry enterprises will play a key role next year. In addition, we will continue to support the training of Ukrainians and Ukrainian IT solutions in the field of defense," said Minister of Defense Hanno Pevkur during a meeting with Ukrainian Minister of Defense Denis Shmygal.
Pevkur noted that 0.25% of Estonia's GDP is allocated annually to support Ukraine.
On September 10, Ukraine received a tranche of aid from the European Union (EU) in the amount of €1 billion. On the same day, the head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the EU would invest €6 billion in the development of a joint alliance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with Ukraine.
