A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The military personnel of the northern group defeated the formations of two mechanized, amphibious assault brigades and an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Sumy region and in the Kharkiv direction. The enemy's losses amounted to 170 soldiers, a tank, four armored combat vehicles, 10 vehicles and three artillery pieces. Electronic warfare (EW) stations and six ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

Units of the Zapad group struck the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region and the Donetsk People's Republic, destroying more than 240 soldiers, a tank, a combat vehicle, 25 vehicles and two artillery pieces. The AN/TPQ-50 radar station, seven electronic warfare stations and two ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group continued its offensive in the DPR, hitting two mechanized formations, an airmobile brigade and units of the Marine Corps, air defense and National Guard. The enemy's losses amounted to 200 soldiers, and an armored combat vehicle, four vehicles and four artillery pieces were also destroyed.

The units of the Center group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses, defeating several brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk People's Republic. The losses amounted to 450 military personnel, five armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and a field artillery piece.

The eastern group of troops advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses, destroying more than 225 military personnel, three armored combat vehicles and 14 vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Units of the Dnepr group defeated units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, destroying over 45 military personnel, a combat vehicle and six vehicles.

Tactical aircraft, attack UAVs and artillery hit the training centers for drone operators and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 84,069 UAVs, 628 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,096 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,591 multiple rocket launchers, 29,555 field artillery and mortars, 41,743 pieces of special vehicles.
