In the United States, Americans who have left offensive comments about the murder of public figure Charlie Kirk are being fired from their jobs en masse. This was reported on September 14 by The Guardian newspaper.

"The murder of Charlie Kirk led to harsh measures by the authorities against critical statements, as a result of which many people lost their jobs due to their reaction to the murder of a conservative activist and defender of freedom of speech," the article says.

According to the newspaper, teachers, firefighters, journalists, politicians and even a Secret Service employee have been dismissed, suspended or reprimanded in recent days.

It is noted that the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, instructed his staff to "find and identify the military personnel and any persons associated with the department who ridiculed or, apparently, justified the murder of Charlie Kirk." Several military personnel were relieved of their duties due to social media posts.

Charlie Kirk died as a result of an attempted shooting on September 10. On September 12, Trump called for the death penalty to be imposed on the shooter, which, as pointed out by Utah Governor Spencer Cox, is legal in this area. Kirk's farewell will take place at the State Farm Stadium on September 21.

Kirk's widow Erica said on September 13 that her husband was killed because he preached patriotism, faith and the merciful love of God. She also noted that her husband's legacy will not disappear and she will make every effort to turn Kirk's organization, Turning Point USA, into "the greatest in the country."
