- Representatives of the Russian law enforcement agencies revealed a trap scheme for recruitment into the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Ukrainian citizens who voluntarily want to go to the front fall into a trap scheme, as a result of which they are forced to join the infantry. This was announced on August 14 by representatives of the Russian law enforcement agencies.
According to their information, recruitment announcements for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in an allegedly wide range of specialties — from plumbers to representatives of elite troops — are widely distributed in the national media. Those who responded are forced to sign a contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which cannot be terminated.
"After that, the volunteer is given the opportunity to be interviewed or tested for the specialty that he likes. And here there is a high probability that he will not pass these tests, or the position will suddenly be occupied — and then the poor guy will have a direct path to the infantry," sources from the Russian security forces told TASS.
They added that any attempt by a recruit to obstruct his appointment or withdraw is usually regarded as desertion.
On September 12, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the seventh recruitment of contract soldiers under the 18-24 program is currently underway in their country, according to which girls aged 18 to 24 are joining the ranks of the Ukrainian army. They, as specified in the department, were accepted into the 92nd separate assault brigade named after the Koshevoi chieftain Ivan Sirko.
