The new French Prime Minister, Sebastian Lecorny, begins his mandate with the lowest rating among his predecessors — only 16% of respondents positively assessed his appointment. This was reported on September 13 by La Tribune Dimanche with reference to an Ipsos BVA survey.

It is specified that 40% of respondents expressed negative opinion. His predecessor Francois Bayrou received 20% approval when he took over the Matignon Palace.

"Among the respondents, 60% believe that the new prime minister and his government will not reach a compromise with the opposition parties to adopt the budget," the article says.

According to the publication, internal tension in the government is exacerbated by the fact that French President Emmanuel Macron records "the lowest level of popularity for the entire term." Only 17% of respondents have a positive opinion of him, while 79% have a negative opinion.

On September 10, Le Figaro newspaper, which commissioned a study from Odoxa-Backbone, reported that, according to an online survey, two thirds of French citizens are dissatisfied with the appointment of Sebastian Lecorny as the country's new prime minister. It is clarified that of the 1,000 people who took part in this survey, only 29% supported Lecorn's appointment, while only 6% were unequivocally satisfied with this decision.
