Turkey pointed to the inability of the United States to guarantee the security of Gaza because of Israel

The escalation in the Middle East, supported by Israel, illustrates that security in the Persian Gulf cannot be guaranteed even by a country like the United States. This was announced on August 13 by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

"The dynamics of security in the Persian Gulf may change, <..."even the United States cannot fully guarantee security, <...> because their policy does not correspond to American goals," he said in an interview with TRT World TV channel.

This fact, as the minister stressed, scares the leaders of the countries located in the region. Therefore, they are joining forces to discuss a new concept for regional self-defense.

Fidan added that Israel was only "creating the illusion" of seeking to resolve the situation in Gaza. In fact, he is trying to seize as many territories as possible, "weakening" his neighbors.

Qatar's Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, commenting on the Israeli attack on a residential complex where a delegation of the Palestinian Hamas movement was staying, said on September 11 that Israel was trying to disrupt peace talks on Gaza. He stated that the Israeli government, in his opinion, does not value the lives of the hostages, and their release is not a priority for its representatives.
