The CEO of Igor Drive declared the superiority of Baltika Fest over the Oktoberfest
The large-scale Baltic Fest, which takes place in the Leningrad region, turned out to be even better than the German Oktoberfest. Alexey Titov, General Director of the Igor Drive autodrom, shared this opinion with Izvestia on September 13.
"It turned out better, Oktoberfest would have found out about it, but the Germans turned off our normal television, so they will never find out about it, God bless them," Titov said.
He added that it is somewhat unusual to see a sports facility in a new guise, and the scale of the event is amazing.
"We are having a lot of fun, lots of people, everyone is in a good mood, the weather for St. Petersburg as a whole pleases us, there is no rain, we are ready for everything else, lots of delicious food, lots of amazing drinks, a real celebration and anniversary of the Baltika brewing company, we congratulate it on its 35th anniversary," - emphasized the general director of the autodrome.
He admitted that the preparation took a certain amount of effort and resources, there were some difficulties, but they were overcome.
"We really hope that people will enjoy the festival that we have prepared for them with the Baltika brewing company,— concluded Titov.
Earlier that day, at the Baltika Fest, CEO of AB InBev Efes JSC (Drinks Together) Nikolay Tyurnikov stated that brewers in Russia need to unite in order to jointly solve the complex tasks facing the industry. He stressed that brewers need to use all tools and all opportunities in order to develop the market for the benefit of consumers.
Vyacheslav Mamontov, Executive Director of the Association of Beer, Malt and Beverage Producers, said on July 2 that Russian producers had taken leading positions in the world ranking, which, in turn, indicates the high importance of brewing companies in the country. This fact was influenced, among other things, by the nationalization of Baltika (formerly Carlsberg) and OPH Vereinigte Brauereien (formerly Heineken) companies in Russia. For example, the Russian "Baltika" took the 12th place.
