Politico reported on the EU's desire to replace Russian assets with bonds

The European Union (EU) countries intend to transfer frozen Russian assets to Ukraine using debt receipts. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on September 13.

"This proposal, which one of the officials dubbed 'legal ingenuity,' will help create a significant additional funding stream for Kiev, while technically there will be no expropriation of the Russian assets themselves, but from a legal point of view, the move is very risky," the publication says.
