- The WSJ noted Kirk's contribution to Vance's becoming Vice President of the United States.
His friendship with American political activist Charlie Kirk helped JD Vance take the post of Vice President of the United States. This was reported on September 12 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
"The two men, with an age difference of 10 years, became friends, and this helped Vance take the post of vice president," the article says.
According to the publication, Kirk also hoped that Vance would eventually become president of the United States. It is noted that in a previously unpublished interview with the WSJ, an American activist said that the current vice president of the United States would make a great head of state.
Their friendship began in 2017 after Kirk's message to Vance on social media. Subsequently, the activist used his influence to support Vance's ambitions and strengthen his position as a candidate for the post of vice president under American leader Donald Trump.
"Kirk and Vance have become close friends. They regularly communicated, discussed their families and made fun of each other in group chats," the material says.
Charlie Kirk, who contributed to Trump's victory in the presidential election, died on September 10 as a result of an assassination attempt against him. Kirk's widow Erica suggested that his death could have been caused by the fact that he preached patriotism, faith and the merciful love of God.
Against the background of the incident, Trump ordered to lower the national flags on American administrative buildings until 18:00 (01:00 Moscow time) on September 14. He also shared that he would be going to Kirk's funeral.
