Russian wrestler Kazyryk defeated Ukrainian wrestler Boruta at the World Championship
At the World Wrestling Championships in Croatia, Russian freestyle wrestler Sayin Kazyryk defeated Ukrainian Alexei Boruta. The results of the fight were published on September 13 on the website of the Russian Wrestling Federation.
The Russian athlete won the qualification fight in the weight category up to 70 kg between Kazyryk and Borut with a score of 8:2. In the 1/8 finals, Kazyryk faced Hungarian wrestler Ismail Musukaev and was defeated with a score of 2:4.
"Kazyryk is the champion of Russia in 2025. Musukaev is the winner of the 2023 World Cup," Sport-Express reports.
The 2025 World Wrestling Championship began on September 13 and will last until the 21st. It takes place in the Croatian city of Zagreb at the Arena Zagreb.
Earlier, on July 21, the Russian national freestyle wrestling team defeated the representatives of the United States in a match meeting in Budapest. The competition ended with a score of 6:4.
