Lawyer Baluyev: the watch "There is only one such Timur Ivanov" costs 14.6 thousand rubles

A watch with the inscription "Timur Ivanov is the only one", found during a search at the home of former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov, became a joke gift from friends. Lawyer Denis Baluyev announced this in an interview with RBC on September 13.

He clarified that the watches were manufactured by Poljot (Polet) and cost 14.6 thousand rubles.

Timur Ivanov was found guilty of embezzlement and money laundering, but the investigation into the bribery case has not yet been completed.

On September 12, Baluyev informed Izvestia about the completion of the investigation into the criminal case of the former deputy defense minister.

Ivanov was arrested on April 23, 2024 on suspicion of bribery. According to investigators, he entered into a criminal conspiracy with the heads of contractors who worked at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense. Ivanov signed contracts with them in exchange for a personal reward.

On July 1, the accused was sentenced to 13 years in a penal colony. In addition, he must pay a fine of 100 million rubles. He was also stripped of his state award and the title of Honored Builder of the Russian Federation.

Later, on September 13, it became known that Ivanov had a copy in his watch collection, on which the inscription was engraved: "There is only one such Timur Ivanov."
