Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, said on September 13 that reaching the 1991 border was impossible for Ukraine.

"Ukraine is looking for any new formulation of the so-called victory. What could be a victory for Ukraine in the logic of the Ukrainian authorities? Reaching the borders of 1991, what is unattainable? They would like to see this as a victory. Preservation within the framework of 2022? Of course, a victory. Saving only the Right Bank? Probably a victory. Saving two streets of Lviv?" said Miroshnik in an interview with TASS.

According to him, the Ukrainian authorities are trying to pass off any consequences for the country as a victory. This is due to the rhetoric of the Kiev regime, according to which Ukraine won if the Ukrainian state continued to exist. Miroshnik clarified that such slogans preserve Ukrainians' hatred of Russia.

On September 12, Miroshnik announced attempts to provoke Russia to abandon the dialogue. He noted that the Ukrainian authorities are trying to create a negative background for the negotiations in order to disrupt them. He also gave examples of targeted strikes, such as attacks on gas stations, when Ukrainian drones attack civilians.
