Sobyanin congratulated Muscovites on City Day

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the residents of the capital on City Day and urged them to love and cherish their hometown, dedicate talents, knowledge, skills and work to it.

"Moscow is the heart of the Russian lands, an ancient and eternally young capital," Sergei Sobyanin said in a video message on the MAX messenger.

Sobyanin noted that Moscow has repeatedly become a place where the fate of the country was decided. The capital had to go through many difficult trials, but each time it came out of them stronger. According to the mayor, this will be the case now, when Russia is once again defending its sovereignty and security.

He also stressed that Moscow is one of the largest and most powerful megacities, which competes with the leading capitals of the world.
