Beglov spoke about the implementation of the national project "Family"
The provisions of the national Family project are being actively implemented in St. Petersburg. This was stated by the governor of the city Alexander Beglov, speaking at the plenary session of the XI St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures. This was reported by the Smolny press service.
"We are actively working on the implementation of the national project "Family" in the Northern capital. Our goal is to create the most comfortable conditions for every family, so that St. Petersburg can rightfully bear the title of a city where you want to raise children. I am sure that thanks to the support of the President and the well-coordinated work of St. Petersburg‑St. Petersburg will make a significant contribution to strengthening the institution of the family and achieving the demographic goals of our country," Alexander Beglov emphasized.
Alexander Beglov stressed that a roadmap had been approved in St. Petersburg for the implementation of the Family national project in terms of increasing the birth rate. The document provides for 50 events, which are the responsibility of 32 authorities and subordinate institutions.
The governor noted that St. Petersburg was one of the first to implement the presidential decree on additional measures to support large families. There are about 76,000 such families in the city now, and their number is growing. To stimulate the birth rate and strengthen the institution of the family, the city increases budget expenditures and receives federal subsidies.
Beglov pointed out that family support measures have been expanded in St. Petersburg. Fees for kindergartens have been canceled, parents of newborns receive kits for babies, and free rental points for children's goods with delivery are operating. Mother and child rooms are being opened at universities, payments to student families have been increased, and a one-time payment of 100,000 rubles has been introduced for pregnant students. Those with many children will be compensated for 50% of the child's tuition and up to 1 million rubles for a mortgage.
