France called von der Leyen's requests to allocate money to Ukraine a disgrace
On September 12, French politician and leader of the Patriots party Florian Philippot called the requests of the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen to allocate money to help Ukraine a disgrace.
"For some reason, she [von der Leyen] says that today the amount of aid to Ukraine is 170 billion euros, but she will need more. It's just a shame," Filippo said in a video posted on his YouTube channel.
He also clarified that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is shifting salary payments to the Ukrainian military to the European Union (EU). In addition, Philippot was outraged that EU citizens "were not asked" if they wanted to financially support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Earlier, on September 10, von der Leyen announced in the framework of the annual report on the state of the EU that the European Union plans to invest €6 billion in the development of a joint alliance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with Ukraine. According to her, Kiev will pay with the EU only after reparations. These funds, according to von der Leyen, are critically important for Ukraine in the medium and long term.
