Crews of long-range Tu-22m3 bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out an air strike with practical bombing, destroying objects at one of the ranges during the joint strategic exercise Zapad-2025. This was announced on September 13 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry clarified that long-range aviation pilots staged an episode of an air strike on a simulated enemy in order to disrupt the control system and destroy critical facilities.
