An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 was recorded in the Pacific Ocean off the eastern coast of Kamchatka. This was announced on September 13 at the Kamchatka branch of the FIT of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
It is specified that the seismic event was located at a depth of 46.8 km, and its epicenter was 123 km from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In addition, according to preliminary estimates, the intensity of the earthquake in this city was up to five points.
The Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kamchatka Territory reported on the same day that eight aftershocks per day were registered in Kamchatka.
