Calculations of the Molniya-2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are working to identify and eliminate drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). On September 13, UAV operators told Izvestia about the results of their combat missions.

So, according to the senior group of UAVs with the call sign Zarya, Russian military personnel practically do not rely on a drone detector, which sometimes works with errors – most often they monitor the terrain by visual analysis.

"We got new readings after the next turn: look at each according to their sector, I have [look] straight and to the right. Visually identify drones that may be on the ground," said Alexander Safiulin, a correspondent for Izvestia, who went on a mission with the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces.

Arriving at the field, the operators prepared one of the drones for launch, after which they hurried to the shelter, where a reconnaissance sapper of the 56th separate Special Forces Battalion (SSBNB) of the 51st Guards Army with the call sign Cosmos was waiting for them.

"The distance is stated to be 50 [km], well, 40-45 [km] will fly (To the target. — Ed.) <...> Load capacity, <...> 6 kg. By 3 kg (In a high-rise. — Ed.) it can rise, but the picture disappears, and so one and a half to two [km] are generally calm," he said.

Kosmos added that the main purpose of the devices are air pressure receivers (LDPE) and concentrations of Armed Forces personnel.

The commander of the 56th UAV squadron with the call sign Skull added that during the day of work started by his colleagues at 06:00, they managed to destroy 10 targets, including a mortar and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the unit was able to prevent the rotation of Ukrainian military personnel.

On August 28, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the creation by the Center group of troops of a unified database on the elimination of UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported to the head of the department, Andrei Belousov, who noted the usefulness of this development.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
