According to the New York Post, the suspect in Kirk's murder is 22-year-old resident of Utah Tyler Robinson. Utah Governor Spencer Cox later confirmed the arrest of a murder suspect. According to him, a family member of the suspect contacted a family friend, who then contacted law enforcement with information that Robinson had confessed to him about the incident.
