Notary Fedorchenko escaped criminal liability again
Notary Alexander Fedorchenko, who participated in dozens of dubious real estate transactions, could not be held accountable. The victims of the notary on September 12 told about his machinations.
Veteran Nikolai Kizyun, who shook hands with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Victory Day Parade, was almost deprived of his apartment because of the widow of his son and Fedorchenko. Kizyun was tricked into signing a waiver of inheritance.
There are dozens of other victims at the hands of Fedorchenko, and only a few are winning a case in court with him. Olga Gorodnicheva is among those who succeeded. Strangers in the presence of Fedorchenko's notary convinced the pensioner to sign an annuity agreement in exchange for monthly payments and lifelong care. She is disabled, so she agreed to such conditions.
"There were completely strangers present, but he issued a power of attorney for completely different persons. Which didn't exist, but the data, as they say, was in his desk," recalls Gorodnicheva.
According to Olga, she did not receive any money or help, went to court and got a criminal case initiated. But Fedorchenko avoided responsibility, only received disciplinary action from the notary chamber.
Galina Umyarova, a representative of the victims, said that her friend also signed a deal to sell the apartment in strange circumstances, and it was this lawyer who certified the documents.
"At first, my friend was abducted: they kept him in a pit, in some apartments, they constantly got him drunk, then they brought him for a day, dragged him back to Fedorchenko. Why did he certify the deal in front of strangers? I certified the deal with a man who was mentally ill and was on psychiatric leave," Umyarova said.
Fedorchenko is one of the most famous notaries in Moscow. He became famous after a series of scandals related to equity raiders and a high–profile story about "dead souls" in the signatures of Lyubov Sobol (she was included by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the register of foreign media agents), which she submitted to the election commission six years ago during the re-election race for the post of deputies of the Moscow City Duma.
When the lawyer was asked why his name comes up whenever there is a story about professional scammers.
"My last name doesn't appear there. Different people come to us and it's not written on their foreheads that they are scammers," Fedorchenko said.
As an experiment, the film crew asked the notary to conduct a dubious transaction, and he began to get noticeably nervous, showing that the "clients" came to him at the wrong time. His caution is probably caused by the criminal case that was initiated after Kizyun's deception.
Earlier, on July 24, lawyer Anton Meleshko called Izvestia the main signs of questionable investment proposals. According to the expert, incorrect paperwork is the basis of abuse. In some schemes, documents are not signed with a real facsimile, and investments are accepted in cash.
