Elections in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation are held normally, no serious violations have been noticed. At the same time, there are already the first results related to the voting procedure. This was announced on September 12 by political analyst Vladimir Shapovalov.

"A single voting day is a large—scale political electoral process, as elections are held in almost all regions of the Federation, 81 out of 89," he said.

This single day takes place in highly competitive conditions, as there are an average of five candidates for the election of senior officials. The voters are faced with the task of choosing the program of the future for the development of their territory.

Shapovalov also noted the importance of extraterritorial sites. So, in Moscow alone there are about 14 of them. According to the political scientist, this is aimed at creating maximum conditions for voters and the exercise of active suffrage. At the same time, the credibility of elections in Russia is constantly growing, which is confirmed by sociological research.

Remote elections were held in some regions for the first time this year. According to Shapovalov, this demonstrates political activism, consciousness and civic position in the context of "confrontation", "information war", which is being waged against Russia.

"The election results are significant for the development of the Federation's constituent entities and regional development, as these are the next five years of regional development," he concluded.

In Russia, governors, deputies to legislative assemblies and representatives of municipal authorities will be elected within three days.
