- Future film premieres were presented at the international content forum in St. Petersburg.
On September 12, the international content forum ended in St. Petersburg, where new projects of the National Media Group (NMG) were presented. The premieres of films such as "Pinocchio", "Artificial Intelligence" and "There is only a Moment" attracted the attention of the audience.
At the forum's exhibition, not only technical achievements in the field of the film industry were discussed, but also the first shots of the expected films were presented to the audience. One of the main topics of the forum was the premiere of Pinocchio. Mikhail Vrubel, the general producer of the film, noted that Alexey Rybnikov's music, which became the symbol of this picture, remains familiar to every generation of viewers.
"The main DNA of the original film is Alexey Lvovich Rybnikov's songs, which are known, it seems to me, to everyone, of any age in our country. We still have them. The details of the plot, the artistic scale, the main character made with the help of computer graphics — there is certainly a lot of soul in him, a lot of humanity, but this is a technological breakthrough, of course," explained Vrubel.
The presentation of the film "Artificial Intelligence" was no less interesting for the audience. Director Alexey Chadov noted that the film, despite its lightness and family orientation, touches on an important philosophical topic: artificial intelligence as a threat to humanity or as progress. Leon Kemstach, the lead actor, expressed confidence that humans and robots will be able to find a common language.
"I think that a human and a robot can find a really common language, a human and an artificial intelligence, and one day it can really become non—artistic," the actor emphasized.
The audience also got acquainted with the project "There is only a Moment", in which, inspired by classic war films, the creators shot a story about the heroes-pilots of the Great Patriotic War. Producer Igor Ugolnikov said that the main goal of the film is to maintain respect for history, while making the film vivid and emotional.
"This sense of tact, a sense of a certain neatness, was present in our work. And now, when the picture is almost ready to be released on the screen, we check every detail in order to be emotional, bright, interesting, but at the same time not to hurt the main feeling of our citizens in that great war," Ugolnikov said.
The forum also discussed the successes in creating content for children, including the sequels "Finnick" and "Leo and Tiga", as well as the new fairy tale "Yaga on our head" with the participation of Svetlana Khodchenkova. Special attention was paid to the film "Varvara-Krasa", in which Rinata Timerbayeva played the main role.
Vadim Smirnov, head of NMG Film Distribution, stressed that the main thing for the company is the quality of the content.
"I think the general philosophy is about quality and that when releasing a movie, there should be no shame in front of the audience. We always strive for quality, so there can be any genre. The main thing is not to be ashamed of the painting," concluded Smirnov.
Svetlana Balanova, General Director of the National Media Group (NMG), said on September 11 that during the first weekend of the screening of the film "Red Silk" in China, the box office receipts of the film amounted to several hundred thousand dollars. She also stressed that the rental of "Red Silk" in China has been extended for a month. According to her, this confirms the success of the tape, as Chinese cinemas quickly withdraw films that are not popular.
