The awards shown by Roman Alyokhin, a military blogger and ex-adviser to the governor of the Kursk Region, may be fake. This opinion was expressed by military analyst, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk in an interview with Izvestia on September 13.

"Yes, he did something, but he is accused of stealing, robbing, appropriating himself. Of course, he brought something somewhere, and it is possible that even he was distinguished for what he brought. But he didn't bring everything. Out of 100, let's say, the same drones, he brought two. At some stages, until he was found out, he may have been rewarded. <...> He cast a shadow over the entire volunteer movement. I think that a person will not get rid of this," Matviychuk said.

Earlier, in an interview with a correspondent of Izvestia, Alekhine spoke about the awards he received in his military service area. Among them, the Aida medal is an internal "motivational medal," as the blogger himself pointed out.

In addition, he demonstrated a medal from the TIMSO detachment, the Akhmat Star for participation in Operation Potok, an award knife for volunteer work with Akhmat, a medal from the governor of the Kursk region, Defender of the Kursk Region, and others.

The expert drew attention to the affiliation of the awards that the blogger demonstrated. According to him, they have the status of public awards — it is possible that some of them are fake.

"I think awards like his could have been bought, negotiated with someone to vilify, and the like. I think these are not true awards," Matviychuk suggested.

On September 12, Matviychuk told Izvestia that Alyokhin had most likely lied about his participation in Operation Potok to enter the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He noted that the blogger's participation in this operation was unlikely, as it was strictly confidential and was conducted only with the participation of trained people.

Earlier, Izvestia reported that Alekhine claimed to be involved in Operation Potok. He complained that he was allegedly the only one left without a reward for this. Alekhine still has a photograph from the scene, but he is unarmed in it.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
