Logistics will become one of the main weaknesses of the grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donbas with the onset of the mudslide. Sergey Poletaev, a military analyst and co-founder of the Watfor project, expressed this opinion on Friday, September 12.

According to the expert, during the heavy autumn rains in the black earth regions, the supply of warring armies directly depends on paved roads. In the case of the Ukrainian army, almost all such routes are already under attack by Russian FPV drones.

Poletaev suggested that this circumstance could be considered one of the harbingers of the imminent collapse of the Ukrainian defense and a major Russian offensive deep into the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"So it's not just about taking Pokrovsk, but about something bigger. The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have a solid front line, the defense is focal, and the shortage of personnel is growing," Poletaev said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
