The court seized 72 million rubles worth of property from ex-investigator Zhiryutin.

The Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow has satisfied the claim of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office for the conversion of movable and immovable property of the former investigator of the capital's headquarters of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Andrey Zhiryutin, accused of falsifying evidence in the case of the IT company Merlion in the amount of about 68 million rubles. This was reported on September 12 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

"I had nothing to do with illegally registered income, and I have nothing to do with it," Zhiryutin said in court.

According to the defendant, he categorically disagrees with the claim and asked for the seizure of the property to be lifted. The defense intends to appeal the decision.

The amount of the claim included an apartment in the west of the capital owned by Zhiryutin's father, a 15-hectare plot of land in the Tver region, 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer cars and another 2008 car, as well as cash in the amount of 13 million rubles.

Zhiryutin and his ex-colleagues — the former head of the Khoroshevsky department of the Moscow headquarters of the Investigative Committee, Rustam Yusupov, the former head of the Investigative Department for the Northwestern District of the capital, Sergei Romodanovsky - are being investigated for falsifying evidence against former top managers of Merlion.

On September 9, the Dorogomilovsky Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and seized the property of former investigator for particularly important cases Kirill Kachur (included in the register of foreign agents) and his relatives for state revenue. According to the Izvestia correspondent, we are talking about 11 real estate objects worth more than 247 million rubles.
