A resident of Uzbekistan was recognized as the oldest woman on the planet
Huwaido Umarova, a resident of the Ferghana region of Uzbekistan, is officially recognized as the oldest person on the planet, she turned 130 years old. This was announced on September 12 by the press service of the Ministry of Justice of the country.
To confirm Umarova's age, the Buwayda District Department of Justice filed a lawsuit in court. The age was confirmed, although no documents confirming the date of birth have been preserved.
"At an off—site court session of the Kokand Interdistrict Court for Civil Cases in the Karakum MFC of the Buwayda district, the fact of Huwaido's birth was established on January 1, 1895 in the Buwayda district," the department's Telegram channel reported.
Umarova is now officially the oldest person in the world, the press service added.
On February 9, Blazena Strakhotova, the oldest resident of the Czech Republic, turned 108 years old. The woman is full of energy, tries to move more and does sports for half an hour every day. The entire Strakhotova family, including her great-great-grandchildren, came to congratulate her on her 108th birthday.
