- Slyusar and Alikhanov discussed the work on the re-motorization of the Be-200 amphibious aircraft
Yuri Slyusar, Acting Governor of the Rostov Region, and Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, visited the Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, which is part of the United Aircraft Corporation.
The minister and the head of the region, in particular, observed the assembly of various parts of the Be-200 amphibious aircraft fuselage and the docking of the units. "The company is currently working on the Be-200 remotorization. We are financing the ROC this year, and we will continue next year. We hope to finish this work in 2027. If a positive result is obtained based on the results of the ROC, we will start production of a production car in 2028," Alikhanov said.
Slyusar, in turn, noted that "the pearl of the Taganrog aircraft industry, the Be-200, with the new PD-8 engine, will begin its second life." He expressed confidence that the plant will fulfill the deadlines that are being discussed. The governor added that resources are also provided for the technical re-equipment of the enterprise. "I hope that we will be able to implement all the upgrade plans in a short time, and this will have a positive impact on the serial production of the Be-200 aircraft. The technological breakthrough will allow us to increase serial production," Slyusar emphasized.
Beriev TANTK is mass-producing the Be-200 amphibious aircraft, which is used by rescue services around the world to provide assistance in disaster zones and emergency response.
