In the Leningrad region, they told about their readiness to hold gubernatorial elections

All municipalities of the Leningrad region were actively preparing for the elections. This was announced on September 12 by Sergey Kuzmin, Executive Director of the Leningrad Region Council of Municipalities Association.

"Naturally, consultations were held on how the elections should be legitimately conducted, how to campaign properly, and how to prevent violations," he said.

According to Kuzmin, there was also interaction with various commissions. Public chambers provide great assistance in the conduct of elections. A large corps of observers has also been formed in the Leningrad Region to monitor the voting.

"You know, when we were preparing for the gubernatorial elections, and we understand that this is a very important event these days. Well, of course, for me, as the director, it is important to organize the educational process, taking into account the fact that 4.4 thousand children study at school, we had to think over the logistics of education," said Igor Solovyov, director of the Kudrovo Education Center.

Thus, the educational institution has chosen mixed learning formats and a "rolling schedule". Thanks to this, it was possible to separate the flows of voters and children. According to Alexandra Osanova, an English teacher, she will travel with her children to Vyborg during the elections, where students will explore the sights.

On the same day, the chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia, Ella Pamfilova, announced that 1,616 participants in the special military operation (SVO) would join the elections at various levels in 2025. In turn, 161 participating candidates were nominated in the elections of deputies of representative bodies of municipalities of administrative centers in 24 of the 25 regions.
