A military analyst questioned the participation of blogger Alekhine in Operation Potok

Roman Alekhine, a military blogger and ex-adviser to the governor of the Kursk region, most likely lied about his participation in Operation Stream to enter the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This opinion was expressed by military analyst, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk in an interview with Izvestia on September 12.

According to the expert, Alyokhin's participation in this operation is unlikely, as it was strictly confidential and was conducted only with the participation of trained people. He also added that the blogger is not a fighter of the Russian Armed Forces, which raises doubts about his involvement in Operation Stream.

"He couldn't have been in that tube because the operation was secret, the operation was secret. Only selected volunteers with shoulder straps participated in it. He's nobody, he's just an ordinary blogger. Well, imagine, here I am in charge of a secret operation. Tomorrow I have people going to do the tasks. A man comes and says: "I'll go with them." Who are you? On what grounds? Stupidity. I think he's lying," Matviychuk said.

Earlier, Izvestia reported that Alekhine claimed to be involved in Operation Potok. He complained that he was allegedly the only one left without a reward for this. Alekhine still has a photograph from the scene, but he is unarmed in it.

On March 10, it was reported that an operation was underway in the Kursk region to introduce the Russian military into the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Sudzhi. To do this, they overcame about 15 km of pipeline. The operation involved soldiers of the combined assault squad, which was formed from soldiers of the 11th Guards Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, the 30th Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division, the Akhmat detachment, and volunteers of the Veterans assault brigade.

The actions of the attack aircraft contributed to the breakthrough of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the disruption of the defense management system of the Ukrainian army along the entire line of combat contact with the enemy in the region. Thanks to this, it was possible to liberate over eight settlements. As a result, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces raised the Russian flag at the administration of Suji.
