The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the lack of illusions after the appointment of a new French prime minister.

Moscow has no illusions about possible changes in French foreign policy due to the change of prime minister in the country. This was stated on September 12 in response to a question from Izvestia by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"Of course, we have no illusions about the possibility of real changes in French foreign policy, which has lost its former Gallic traditions, and this fully concerns the Ukrainian crisis," the diplomat said at a briefing.
