All-wheel drive seven-seat crossover Tenet T8 went on sale in Russia. The model is available in two trim levels, priced from 3.54 million and 3.79 million rubles, Tenet Rus said in a statement received by Izvestia on September 12.

The Tenet T8 is equipped with an alternative two-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 197 hp (375 Nm) paired with a seven-speed "robot". Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.4 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h. The length of the car is 4725 mm with a wheelbase of 2710 mm.

The basic package includes, among other things, 18-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, an all-round viewing system, dual-zone climate control, and eight Sony audio speakers. There are two separate screens in the cabin — a central 15.6-inch and a 10.3-inch digital dashboard. The second and top-end versions of the Tenet T8 have 19-inch wheels, the front seats are equipped with ventilation, and the number of speakers has been expanded to 10. The complex of driving assistants has been expanded, there is wireless charging for a smartphone and a projection display.

The model entered the assembly line of the AGR Holding plant (formerly Volkswagen) in the Kaluga region along with the more compact T4 and T7 crossovers. Tenet cars are based on Chery models. The Tenet brand was created specifically for the Russian market.

The day before, Evolve announced the launch of sales of an updated version of the i-Space hybrid crossover in Russia. The crossover, manufactured at a factory in the Lipetsk region, is available in one configuration and two versions — a five-seater and a seven-seater. The first one costs from 2.49 million rubles, the second — from 2.59 million rubles.
