A new package of EU sanctions against Russia will be presented on September 15. This was announced by Acting French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barraud on the air of France Inter radio station.

"On Monday, the European Union will present a new package of sanctions," he said.

Barro noted that the new restrictions were coordinated with the White House for the first time since President Donald Trump came to power in the United States.

The day before, Reuters reported that the 19th package of EU anti-Russian restrictions may include restrictions against banks in two Central Asian countries, Russian regional banking organizations and other companies.

Prior to that, on September 4, a number of European countries supported the EU measures imposed this year against Russian and Moldovan citizens, as well as foreign journalists. Supporters of these measures include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Moldova, Norway, Liechtenstein and Ukraine.
