Former Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro, who led the country from 2019 to 2023, was sentenced to 27 years and 3 months in prison for attempting a coup against the current leader of the country, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva. This was reported on September 11 by the newspaper O Globo (OG).
