- Zelensky discussed with Trump's special representative Kellogg the purchase of Patriot air defense
On September 11, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the special representative of the American leader Donald Trump, Keith Kellogg, discussed the supply of Patriot air defense systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
"We discussed various areas of cooperation. <...> These are separate projects within the PURL initiative to finance the production and purchase of Patriot, <...> bilateral agreements on the joint production of drones and weapons that we offered to America," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the meeting that ended in Kiev was constructive — Ukraine, as he stressed, expects a "positive" reaction from the United States.
On August 27, Evgeny Zlenko, an expert at the Polylogue Group, told Izvestia about possible changes in Washington's support for Kiev. He noted that after the Russian-American summit in Alaska, during which the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, held talks, the White House's rhetoric changed towards a way out of the Ukrainian conflict.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
