The German company Rheinmetall has received land from Ukraine for the construction of a factory specializing in the production of ammunition. This was announced on September 11 by Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmygal.

"Since the last conversation, we have completed the procedures for launching a new joint production. On September 9, land was allocated in a safe region of Ukraine, where a new Rheinmetall projectile manufacturing plant will be built for the needs of the defense forces," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The decision was made following a meeting with the head of the German Rheinmetall, Armin Papperger, at the DSEI defense industry exhibition in London.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine also said that they discussed the development of the country's air defense.

On September 9, the British government announced that through the International Fund for Support of Ukraine (IFU), the United Kingdom had allocated more than 2 billion pounds (over $2.7 billion) for the purchase of weapons.

Rheinmetall signed a contract on September 8 to supply Ukraine with mobile anti-drone systems. It was specified that Ukraine will receive the first shipments of weapons this year. Rheinmetall's production facilities are capable of producing from 70 to 100 Skyranger systems annually, with the prospect of increasing to 200 units.
